ScribbleTod Questions and Answers
What people ask before they play, and what parents ask before they say yes. If your question is about the rules, how to play goes through the whole game.
Playing
What is ScribbleTod?
ScribbleTod is a card battle game you play in a browser. You open packs to get cards, fight other players with them to earn coins, and spend the coins on more packs.
Is ScribbleTod free?
Yes. There is no real money in ScribbleTod — no purchases, no packs for sale, no currency you can buy. The coins are won by playing and that is the only way they exist.
Do I have to download anything?
No. ScribbleTod plays in the web browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer. You can also add it to your home screen, where it opens like an app with its own icon.
How do I put ScribbleTod on my home screen?
On Android, open the browser's menu and choose Install app. On an iPhone or iPad, tap Share in Safari and then Add to Home Screen.
How do you get cards in ScribbleTod?
From packs. A pack holds five cards and you never know which. Packs are bought with coins you have won, and every new account starts with a free pack waiting to be opened.
How do I earn more coins?
Win fights. Higher rarities pay more for a win, and the Rewards page adds a reward for every day you play, a case to open each day and a free battle pass that pays out as you keep winning.
What happens if you pull a card you already have?
Three copies of the same character fuse into one card of the next rarity up, which is the main way a collection climbs. Fusing climbs as far as Mythic and stops there — a Secret has to be pulled.
Cards and fights
What are the rarities in ScribbleTod?
There are seven: Common (Grey), Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), Legendary (Orange), Mythic (Rainbow) and Secret (Black). Card rarities has what each one means.
Can I lose my cards?
Only if you choose to. In the Coins league nobody ever loses a card. In the Hardcore league the card you fight with is on the line, and losing it to another player means it is theirs for keeps.
Can I get a card back after losing it to the house?
Yes, for seven days. The house holds the card and you can buy it back from the Marketplace for a little more than it is worth. After that it goes on the house shelf for anybody to buy.
Are the fights fair?
Yes. Fights are always between two cards of the same colour, the house brings a card with your own card's numbers, and the dice are rolled by the game, not by your phone, so nobody can change a roll.
What is Run Tod Run?
A running game inside ScribbleTod. Your furthest run of the week goes on the board, and whoever runs furthest by the end of the week wins 100,000 Todcoins.
Accounts and safety
What do you need to sign up for ScribbleTod?
A player name, an email address and a password, and nothing else — no age, no real name, no questionnaire. Then tap the link we email you: that finishes making your account and signs you in, and your first pack is waiting to be opened.
Can other players message me?
No. There is no chat and no messaging in ScribbleTod. Other players see your player name and the cards you fight with or sell, and that is all.
Are there adverts?
No. There is no advertising on the site, and nothing on it reports what you do to anybody else.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Your account page has a Delete My Account button. It removes the account, and the cards it held go back to the house.
